Training
Like an in-home board & train, you can relax and enjoy faster results while the expert trains the first steps for you.
- An efficient way to teach your dog all the obedience skills you want her to know. You relax and let the expert train for you while you’re at work or otherwise occupied.
- Ideal for busy people who want faster results and don’t have the time or patience for initial skill building.
- You’re not off the hook though! Midway and at the end of the program, you attend several owner-training “transfer lessons” so that you and your dog can begin working well as a team. You learn key training techniques as well as how to reinforce, advance, maintain and enjoy your dog’s new skills. You will have homework!
Getting Started
We start with an initial consultation, which covers:
- Reviewing your forms and goals
- Assessing your dog’s temperament, motivation & aptitude
- Outlining a training & management plan
- Training demos so you can see with first steps and understand where we’re headed.
- Afterward, I provide instructions on how you support your dog’s day training program along the way. I provide periodic progress reports to keep you updated on your dog’s progress. Then you get involved midway and toward the end during your Transfer Lessons with me. That’s where you learn how to reinforce and enjoy your dog’s new skills.
